At the last Canada Cove Home Owner Association meeting on 03/11/2012 Jim Henderson brought up the issue of meters on Main Street in Half Moon Bay. Residents of this senior community near Miramontes Point Road South of Half Moon Bay rejected the idea as bad for the Coastside. I personally believe this is a large voting block in the community of folks that actually cast ballots and they are watching the city council closely on this issue!
It was unanimously voted on to draft a petition and present it to the city council on March 20th. On March 20th at 5:30PM the city council will be holding a study session on this topic. The location for this event is the Ted Adcock Community Center located at 535 Kelly Ave Half Moon Bay CA 94019.
We need support for the petition as well as attendees that are willing to show up or the next Tuesday night meeting. Residents are also encouraged to speak up in protest at the meeting.

50s-60s Girl-Group Harmonies take us on a Laugh-filled Journey to Simpler Times
Opens February 10
February 1, 2012 Half Moon Bay, Calif. The Coastal Repertory Theatre rolls down the bobby socks and hops into irresistible song with The Marvelous Wonderettes, an off-Broadway musical delight opening February 10. "It's poodle skirts and Brylcreem, with a big dose of humor for the whole family," beamed producer Roxane Ashe.
Writer Roger Bean transports the audience to the Springfield High 1958 Prom where we meet the Wonderettes Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts and voices to match, performing beautiful arrangements of 50s classics including Mr. Sandman, Lollipop, All I Have To Do Is Dream, Sincerely and Sugartime. Their ten-year reunion brings high-octane and soulful renditions of 60s tunes such as Heatwave, Son of a Preacher Man, Rescue Me and Respect, and we see how their friendships have changed and endured in this captivating new Off-Broadway hit.
Enchantingly directed by Michael Lederman, Coastal Rep veterans Courtney Hatcher, Kimberly Krol, Beth Guido and Phaedra Tillery star as the Wonderettes in this four-person show. The girls delighted audience members at the show's Sock Hop Sneak Peak last Friday night, where restaurant proprietor Cameron Palmer stepped up with more than diner cuisine for the event, adding an old-fashioned DJ to spin records of the era for the 50s-themed dance party. What an honor and a treat to be part of this deliciously funny show, so family-friendly AND perfect for a date! he exclaimed.
Dates and show times for The Marvelous Wonderettes are February 10 through March 3, 2012; Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2pm.
